Job Requirements
Fluent in both French and English, with strong verbal and written communication skills
High school diploma
Minimum of 3 years of relevant experience in transportation, preferably with large products
Valid Class 3 license with a clean driving record is an asset
Proficient in driving a 5-ton truck
Physically fit and capable of lifting heavy products; prior experience preferred
Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills
Reliable, analytical, and proactive in problem-solving
Ability to multi-task, prioritize, and manage conflicting demands
Proven time management skills
High level of integrity and strong work ethic
Knowledgeable about provincial driving rules and regulations
Must be dependable, analytical, and able to communicate clearly and effectively
Job Duties
Adhere to all relevant legislation, including safe operation, carriage of goods, hours of service, occupational health and safety, and weight and dimension regulations
Load and unload trucks for both incoming and outgoing shipments
Report any vehicle defects, accidents, traffic violations, or damage to vehicles
Conduct pre-trip, en-route, and post-trip inspections on the vehicle and load to ensure safety and roadworthiness
Review schedule requisitions, inventory, distances, personnel availability, and other pertinent information to establish schedule parameters
Complete all necessary paperwork at the end of the shift, including daily logs, inspection logs, delivery receipts, vehicle inspections, and hours of service, in compliance with provincial and federal regulations
Verify that all load-related documentation is complete and accurate
Maintain contact with the Customer Experience Supervisor according to the travel plan
Provide feedback to the Customer Experience Supervisor regarding customer issues, mechanical problems, or delivery challenges
Keep the vehicle clean to maintain appropriate service levels
Perform other duties as required, including assisting around the warehouse.
