Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Truck Driver to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for transporting goods safely and efficiently to various locations. This role requires a strong commitment to safety, excellent driving skills, and the ability to manage freight operations effectively. As a Truck Driver, you will play a crucial role in ensuring timely deliveries while maintaining the highest standards of service.

Duties

4:00 AM Start Time Variety of Shifts Available Operate trucks to transport freight to designated locations in a safe and timely manner. Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of vehicles to ensure they are in good working condition. Manage freight loading and unloading processes, ensuring proper handling of goods. Maintain accurate records of deliveries, including invoicing and POD's and any incidents that occur during transport. Communicate effectively with management regarding delivery issues and any potential delays. Adhere to all traffic laws and regulations while on the road. Provide exceptional customer service during deliveries, addressing any concerns or questions from clients.

Skills

Proficient in commercial driving (minimum 3 years) with a valid Commercial Driver's License (Class 1/3) and an ICBC - NSC Drivers Abstract. Experience with freight handling of frozen and cooler food in Refrigerated units. Familiarity with Hand truck operation for loading and unloading cargo is preferred. Handheld computer knowledge Knowledge of the Okanagan, Kootenay's and Lower Mainland is an asset. Mountain and Winter Driving Experience Basic automotive repair skills are beneficial for addressing minor vehicle issues on the road. Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety protocols. Excellent time management skills to ensure timely deliveries. Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.

Pay: $70,000.00-$73,000.00 per year
