Class 1/az Shunt Driver
Job Description
Bison Drivers are paid every week, on time!
Running Friday to Tuesday, 0500 to 1530, 30-minute unpaid lunch break
Hourly rate: $23.75
Weekend premium: $140, must work full 4-day shift to qualify for premium
Hours of work might change from time to time according to operational demands
Reporting directly to the Terminal Lead and indirectly to Terminal Manager
Essential responsibilities are trailer movement, trailer staging, trailer quick-checks, and trailer greasing, trailer cleaning/preparation, along with other general shop/yard duties
Responsible for operation of the forklift when needed. Training will be provided.
Works closely with fleet maintenance manager, city dispatch, and maintenance on daily shunting activities
Candidate Profile
Company Driver residing in Edmonton or immediate area 24 months tractor-trailer experience is required Valid Class 1/AZ License is required Shunt experience is an asset Well organized and possess excellent customer service skills Comfortable with smartphone technology for emailing and texting Reliable, flexible, and punctual Comfortable backing in all manner of tight spaces and locations Strong communication skills Values safety
