Job Overview:

Westwave Logistics is seeking a

reliable and experienced Truck Driver

to join our transportation team in Alberta. The ideal candidate will safely operate commercial trucks to deliver freight efficiently and on time, while maintaining a strong focus on

safety, vehicle maintenance, and customer service

. Candidates with skills in

heavy equipment handling

are highly valued to support diverse operational needs.

Key Responsibilities:

Safely operate commercial trucks to transport freight to designated locations according to schedule. Load and unload cargo when necessary, following safety protocols. Perform

pre-trip and post-trip inspections

to check for mechanical issues and ensure proper documentation. Maintain accurate delivery records and communicate effectively with dispatchers regarding delivery status or delays. Follow all federal, provincial, and local transportation regulations, as well as company policies, to ensure compliance. Operate heavy equipment safely when required at warehouses or distribution centers.

Qualifications:

Valid

Class 1 (A) Commercial Driver's License (CDL)

with a clean driving record.

Minimum 1 year of experience

in commercial driving, freight transportation, or related fields. Strong organizational skills and attention to detail for recordkeeping and compliance. Physical ability to lift heavy loads, operate machinery, and work in various weather conditions.
