Overview

We are seeking Class 1 Truck Driver at Dave Copp Steel. We are a locally family owned steel service center, looking for a year round full time or a part time driver Monday to Friday 8am - 4:30pm. Mix of 5ton and Semi work.

Responsibilities

Operate commercial trucks to transport freight to designated locations. Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of vehicles to ensure safety and compliance. Load and unload cargo, securing it properly to prevent damage during transit. Communicate effectively with dispatchers and customers regarding delivery schedules and any potential delays. Perform basic maintenance on vehicles, including automotive repair as needed. Operate heavy equipment and forklifts when required for loading and unloading tasks. Tarping when required.

Requirements

Valid Commercial Driver's License (CDL) is required. Proven experience in commercial driving with a strong understanding of freight transportation. Familiarity with heavy equipment operation is preferred. Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety protocols. Good communication skills for effective interaction with team members and clients.
