Job Summary

We are seeking a reliable and skilled Truck Driver to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for transporting goods safely and efficiently to our customers across Nova Scotia. This role requires a strong commitment to safety, excellent driving skills, and the ability to manage freight effectively. The Truck Driver will play a crucial role in ensuring timely deliveries while adhering to all transportation regulations and providing exceptional customer service.

Responsibilities

Operate heavy trucks and vehicles to transport freight to designated locations. Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure safety and compliance. Load and unload cargo, ensuring proper handling and securing of materials. Maintain accurate records of deliveries, including logs of driving hours and vehicle maintenance. Communicate effectively with dispatchers and other team members regarding delivery schedules and any issues that arise during transport. Adhere to all traffic laws and safety regulations while on the road. Assist with basic automotive repair tasks as needed to ensure vehicle reliability.

Skills

Proficient in commercial driving with a valid commercial driver's license. Experience operating tractor-trailers is required. Strong knowledge of freight handling procedures and logistics. Basic automotive repair skills are an asset for maintaining vehicle performance. Excellent communication skills for effective interaction with team members and clients. Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety practices while driving.
