Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Truck Driver to join our logistics team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for transporting freight safely and efficiently across various routes while ensuring compliance with all transportation regulations. This role requires a strong commitment to safety, reliability, and customer service.

Duties

Operate commercial trucks to transport freight to designated locations. Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure safety and compliance. Maintain accurate records of deliveries, including logs of driving hours and vehicle maintenance. Communicate effectively with dispatchers and clients regarding delivery schedules and any potential issues. Load and unload freight, utilizing forklifts or other heavy equipment as necessary. Adhere to all traffic laws and company policies while on the road. Perform minor automotive repairs and maintenance on the truck as needed.

Qualifications

Valid Commercial Driver's License (CDL) is required. Experience in commercial driving with a strong understanding of freight transportation. Familiarity with forklift operation and heavy equipment is preferred. Basic knowledge of automotive repair is a plus. Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail. Excellent time management skills with the ability to meet tight deadlines. Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
