Job Summary

We are seeking a reliable and skilled Truck Driver to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for transporting goods safely and efficiently while adhering to all traffic laws and regulations. This position requires a strong commitment to safety, excellent driving skills, and the ability to handle various types of freight. The Truck Driver will also be expected to perform basic maintenance on the vehicle and ensure that all cargo is secured properly.

Duties

Operate manual transmission trucks to transport freight to designated locations in a timely manner Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure safety and compliance Maintain accurate logs of driving hours, mileage, and fuel consumption Communicate effectively with dispatchers and other team members regarding delivery schedules and any issues that arise Adhere to all traffic laws, safety regulations, and company policies Perform minor automotive repairs as needed to ensure vehicle reliability Seldom operate pallet jacks or physical handling of freight. Keep the truck clean and neat.

Requirements

Valid commercial driver's license (CDL) with a clean driving record Experience in commercial driving Knowledge of freight handling procedures and safety protocols Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to perform basic automotive repairs Excellent time management skills with a focus on punctuality Strong communication skills for effective interaction with team members and clients Willing to work away from home on special projects.
Job Type: Full-time

Pay: From $28.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 - 60 per week
