Position Details:



The driver will be responsible for taking part in daily pre-trips and assessments prior to starting every job and follow the standard work procedures set in place.

The driver will be responsible for transporting bulk sand to and from different locations while complying with all TDG regulations. The driver will also be responsible for minor maintenance of the unit they are operating.

The driver is responsible for completing required documents including, but not limited to, Daily Driver Logs, Driver Vehicle Inspection Reports, Job Hazard Safety Assessments, and Field Tickets.

This is a full-time, permanent position and standard hours of work can vary. The driver may be required to be on-call on a 24 hour per day basis with the exception of requested and approved time off

Job Responsibilities:



Complete all pre-job hazard assessments and inspections prior to commencing any job Operate units in a safe, responsible and professional manner Complies with all government legislation as well as internal policies and procedures Ensures federal hours of service are adhered to and that logbooks are filled out and certified daily Reports all incidents, accidents and/or near misses, or equipment damage as soon as they happen Wears all PPE as required, including steel toed boots, coveralls, safety glasses, hard hat and mandatory hearing protection Completes and submits paperwork as required by dispatch and administration Ensures proper load securement during any transportation of goods and materials Responsible for transport, loading and offloading of frac sand at different locations Possibility of doing night shift and sleep in truck if needed Other job duties as required

Qualifications:



High school diploma or GED 2 - 5 years of professional driving experience Class 1 drivers license Satisfactory 5 year commercials driver abstract Valid safety certifications including Common Safety Orientation, H2S Alive, Transportation of Dangerous Goods, WHMIS, and First Aid Valid training for professional driving including Hours of Service, Daily Trip Inspections and Weights and Dimensions Oil field service industry knowledge is an asset A clear understanding of various tractor trailer units and their operations Must have the ability to work with little supervision Strong communication skills and work ethic Able to occasionally lift items as heavy as 50lbs as well as reaching above shoulder height or below the waist if required Ability to work in various weather conditions Super B experience Able to use tire chains as required Able to pass pre-employment drug & alcohol test

Pay: $84,438.21-$296,719.93 per year
