Job Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Truck Driver to join our logistics team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for transporting logs or fluid safely and efficiently across various routes. This role requires a strong commitment to safety, reliability, and adherence to regulations while maintaining excellent customer service.

Duties

Operate and drive trucks to transport freight to designated locations. Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure safety and compliance. Load and unload cargo, ensuring proper handling and securing of goods. Maintain accurate records of deliveries, including logs of hours worked and vehicle maintenance. Communicate effectively with dispatchers and customers regarding delivery schedules and any issues that may arise. Adhere to all traffic laws, safety regulations, and company policies while on the road. Perform minor automotive repairs as needed to ensure vehicle readiness. Operate forklifts or heavy equipment when necessary for loading and unloading tasks.

Requirements

Valid Commercial Driver's License (CDL) is required. Proven experience in commercial driving with a strong understanding of freight transportation. Knowledge of automotive repair is a plus for maintaining vehicle performance. Strong attention to detail with excellent organizational skills. Ability to work independently as well as part of a team. Excellent communication skills for effective interaction with clients and team members. Must be able to pass background checks and adhere to safety protocols.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $30.00-$36.00 per hour

Expected hours: 50 - 70 per week
