Duties

Safely operate a truck to transport freight to designated locations. Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure safety and compliance with regulations. Load and unload freight using forklifts or other heavy equipment as necessary. Maintain accurate records of deliveries, including logs of mileage, fuel usage, and any incidents that occur during transport. Communicate effectively with dispatchers and customers regarding delivery schedules and any potential delays. Perform basic automotive repairs and maintenance on the vehicle as needed. Follow all company policies and procedures related to transportation, safety, and environmental compliance.

Requirements

Valid commercial driver's license (CDL) is required. Proven experience in commercial driving with a strong understanding of freight operations. Ability to operate forklifts and other heavy equipment safely. Knowledge of basic automotive repair techniques is preferred. Strong attention to detail with excellent organizational skills. Ability to work independently and manage time effectively while adhering to delivery schedules. Must pass a background check and drug screening as part of the hiring process.
