Job Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled and reliable Class 1 Owner Operator to join our transportation team. This role involves operating tractor-trailers across various routes, delivering freight efficiently and safely. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in commercial driving, including handling different trailer types such as refrigerated, flatbed, tanker, dump truck, and roll-off trucks. As an owner operator, you will be responsible for managing your vehicle while ensuring timely deliveries and maintaining compliance with safety standards.

Duties

Operate tractor-trailers with manual transmission across designated routes for freight delivery and pickup Load and unload cargo safely using appropriate equipment such as forklifts when necessary Drive various types of trailers including refrigerated trailers, flatbeds, tankers, dump trucks, and roll-off trucks Ensure proper securing of freight to prevent damage during transit Maintain accurate logs of driving hours, vehicle inspections, and delivery documentation Perform routine vehicle inspections and coordinate maintenance needs to ensure optimal operation Follow all safety protocols and traffic laws to ensure safe transportation of goods Plan efficient routes to meet delivery schedules and optimize fuel usage Communicate effectively with dispatchers and clients regarding delivery status or issues

Qualifications

MUST HAVE OWN TRUCK. Valid Class 1 Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with clean driving record Proven experience in truck driving, including route driving and freight delivery Familiarity with operating manual transmission vehicles Experience handling refrigerated trailers, flatbeds, tankers, dump trucks, or roll-off trucks is preferred Ability to load & unload freight safely using forklifts or other equipment as needed Strong knowledge of safety regulations and compliance standards for commercial vehicles Excellent driving skills with a focus on safety and efficiency Ability to manage time effectively to meet tight delivery schedules Physical ability to perform vehicle inspections and handle cargo loading tasks

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time, Permanent

Pay: $60,000.00-$100,000.00 per year

Expected hours: 30 - 40 per week
