OVERVIEW Vertex is currently accepting applications for a full-time Class 1 Operators based out of our Lac La Biche location. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to operate and be trained on different types of vac trucks and fluid hauling units. The candidate must have experience working in the field and must have valid oil field tickets.

INFORMATION Position Title: Class 1 Operator Position location: Lac La Biche, AB Shift Rotation: 24/16 or 14/7 or 7/7 Living Accommodation: Camp - fully serviced with camp attendants and meals in Lac La Biche, AB Compensation: Hourly rate, overtime after 8 & 44 Hours: Up to 15 hours per day Benefits: After successful completion of 3-month probation period
CANDIDATE QUALIFICATIONS

• Class 1 license with a clean commercial abstract
• Mandatory safety tickets required: CSTS 20, H2S Alive, First Aid, Fall Protection, Confined Space & CSO
• Experience operating super B\'s, semi vacs, combo units, hydro vacs, body vacs, sour seal, & tankers
• Minimum 1-year oilfield experience

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

• Drive and operate all equipment in a safe and professional manner
• Ability to demonstrate competent operation of equipment
• Participate in safety program by ensuring all company and customer policies & procedures are adhered to
• Attendance and participation in toolbox talks and safety meetings, FLRA\xe2\x80\x99s, hazard assessment development, pre-trips/post-trips
• Willing to work as a team player with coworkers, contractors, and customers
• Ensure customer and client satisfaction by always providing excellent customer service
• Follow all local, provincial and federal compliance regulations and rules
• Ensure all safety certificate training are up to date
• Perform maintenance on units to ensure cleanliness and efficient operation
• Complete and maintain all required paperwork and documentation properly within set timelines; this includes daily logs, waste manifests etc.
• Workload and schedules may vary depending on emergency situations and routine work that can be punctuated by very busy periods; this is a 24-hour business and the hours can be erratic
• Travel is required and driving will occur in all weather conditions to various customer and/or Vertex worksites
• Ability to lift heavy tools and parts
• Must be able to work at heights of more than 6 feet and confined spaces when required
