Job Description

We are hiring a full time Class 1 Low Bed Driver to join our professional team at Elite Excavating Inc. We are a driven company that employs those who are reliable, hardworking and have a positive attitude. We offer year round employment with regular hours and our jobs are all local in the City of Winnipeg or surrounding areas.

We are looking for an individual who:

Must have a valid Class 1 driver's license with clean drivers abstract Safely operate company's truck in accordance with all applicable federal, state, and local laws and all company safety guidelines Must be able to work 50+ hours per week Must have steel toed boots Must be in good physical health and condition in order to perform physically demanding job duties Has minimum of 3 years of Class 1 driving experience Has experience with hauling mud and aggregates Understands and abides by weight restrictions and scale operations Will be required to conduct a daily pre-operation vehicle/equipment inspection Will respect and take care of company property Safely operate trucks to transport freight to designated locations. Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure safety and compliance. Load and unload cargo, ensuring proper handling and securing of freight. Maintain accurate records of deliveries, including logs of mileage, fuel usage, and any incidents. Communicate effectively with dispatchers and other team members regarding routes, schedules, and any issues that arise during transport. Adhere to all local, state, and federal regulations regarding commercial driving. Perform routine maintenance checks on vehicles and report any mechanical issues promptly.

Skills

Proven experience in commercial driving with a valid driver's license. Proficiency in operating forklifts and heavy equipment is highly desirable. Strong understanding of freight handling procedures and logistics operations. Basic automotive repair skills to address minor mechanical issues on the road. Excellent time management skills with the ability to meet deadlines consistently. Strong communication skills for effective interaction with team members and clients.
