About Class 1 Truck Driver position:
The team of Class 1 Drivers plays a vital role in upholding Frozen Solid's commitment to high-quality, reliable, and on-time deliveries and superior customer satisfaction. This role is responsible for the safe and efficient transportation of goods to various destinations. The responsibilities involve operating Class 1 vehicles, adhering to traffic laws and safety regulations, and ensuring the timely and secure delivery of cargo. A strong commitment to safety, professionalism, and reliability is also paramount in this position.
Position key info
Location: Calgary or Lethbridge
Number of runs: 2 runs per week
Start time: 5pm to 10 pm.
Overtime over 60 hours per week.
Offering: $0.65 per mile, and Safety Bonus.

Skills and Qualifications:
A valid Class 1 driver's license.
Knowledge of how to handle materials safely, such as food or dry products.
Familiarity with using navigation systems.
Time management to ensure deliveries are made on schedule.
Excellent vision and hand-eye coordination to stay safe while driving.
Physical ability to load and unload heavy cargo.
Education and Experience Requirements
minimum 2 years of mountain driving
experience.
High school diploma or equivalent.
Clean driving record.
No DUI conviction in the past 7 years.
Duties and Responsibilities
Communicating with dispatchers, drivers, and other team members to make deliveries.
Meeting delivery deadlines.
Performing basic truck maintenance.
Tracking shipments and deliveries.
Obtaining client or customer signatures when needed.
Communicating and coordinating with dispatchers.
Obeying and following applicable traffic laws.
Securing cargo and properly arranging and balancing it within the vehicle.
Maintaining a detailed log of working hours in compliance with provincial and federal regulations.
Ensuring any mechanical issues with the vehicle are corrected before driving.
Other related duties as requested.
