Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Long Haul Driver to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for transporting freight over long distances while ensuring the safety and timely delivery of goods. This role requires a strong commitment to following regulations and maintaining high standards of vehicle operation.

Responsibilities

Operate commercial vehicles to transport freight across long distances, adhering to all traffic laws and safety regulations. Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure it is in good working condition. Maintain accurate logs of driving hours, rest periods, and mileage as required by law. Communicate effectively with dispatchers and other team members regarding delivery schedules and any potential delays. Handle loading and unloading of freight, utilizing forklifts when necessary. Ensure proper documentation is completed for each load, including bills of lading and shipping manifests. Perform basic automotive repairs as needed to maintain the vehicle's operational efficiency. Operate heavy equipment safely when required during loading or unloading processes.

Skills

Minimum 1 years of Proven experience in commercial driving with a valid CDL (Commercial Driver's License). Knowledge of freight handling procedures and regulations. Strong attention to detail and excellent organizational skills for maintaining logs and documentation. Effective communication skills for interaction with dispatchers, clients, and team members. Ability to work independently while managing time effectively during long hauls.

Pay: $70,000.00-$85,000.00 per year
