Job Overview

:

We are seeking a local driver to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for transporting goods locally, ensuring timely deliveries and pick-ups, and assist with yard duties as required.

Responsibilities:

- Safely operate a company vehicle to transport goods within the local area (Alberta only)

- Load and unload cargo as needed

- Follow traffic laws and maintain a clean driving record

- Inspect vehicles for mechanical issues and report any maintenance needs

- Complete forklift inspections, as required

- Comply with load securement legislation

- Communicate with dispatch regarding delivery/pick-up instructions

- Maintain logs of activities and completed deliveries, complete bill of ladings as required

- Operate electronic logs

- Tarp loads - with a tarping station, including fall arrest.

- Ability to withstand heights

- Ability to run forklift, Lift Truck Certification is mandatory, and can be completed in house.

- Capable of lifting 50-75lbs

Experience:

- Previous experience in commercial driving is preferred

- Ability to pull vans, super b, and step deck trailers

- Familiarity with forklift operation and heavy equipment is advantageous

- Ability to handle freight securely and efficiently

- Must have a Class 1 license

- Must provide a current (within the last 30 days), clean 3-year current commercial drivers abstract

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: From $25.00 per hour

Expected hours: No less than 40 per week
