Midland Transport Limited is currently seeking professional

Class 1 Linehaul Truck Drivers - US Triangle.

The Driver can be based out of any major city in the Maritimes including, but not limited to Fredericton, Moncton, Halifax, Saint John and Charlottetown.

Canadian miles: $0.554 per mile. USA miles paid in CAD: $0.578 per mile. Safety and fuel bonus paid quarterly. Pick-ups, drops, and wait times are paid (restrictions apply). Uniform allowance. Key Responsibilities:

Running Linehaul from the Maritimes into United States eastern seaboard, into Ontario/Quebec and then back to the Maritimes. Deliver freight to assigned locations ensuring timely delivery. Offload variable shipment weight and handle freight equipment properly and in a safe manner to avoid any damage. Communicate efficiently with the central dispatch and customers. Operate the tractor trailer in accordance with the safety regulation: company rules while following safety procedures and traffic laws. Perform pre-trip, en-route and post-trip inspections and oversee all aspects of the truck operation. Report any incident, accident, injury or damage in a timely manner. Willingness to work linehaul legs into the United States, including New York and New Jersey.

Requirements:

Education Required: High School or GED. Class 1 driver's license with a minimum of 5 years of safe tractor trailer driving experience, minimum of 3 years in North America required. Clean driver's abstract and criminal search. Eligibility to receive a FAST card. Eligibility to cross the border with US. Familiarity with satellite systems. Excellent communication skills, work ethic and reliability. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment. Able to lift up to 50 lbs. using the proper equipment. Safety conscious. Must have flexibility to work various shifts: Days, Evenings, Nights, Weekends.
