Job Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Truck Driver to join our logistics team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for transporting freight safely and efficiently while adhering to all safety regulations and company policies. This role requires a strong commitment to customer service and the ability to operate heavy equipment when necessary.

Responsibilities

Safely operate a commercial truck to transport goods to designated locations. Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure it is in safe working condition. Load and unload freight, ensuring proper handling and securing of cargo. Maintain accurate records of deliveries, including logs of driving hours and vehicle maintenance. Communicate effectively with dispatchers, customers, and team members regarding delivery schedules and any issues that arise during transport. Operate heavy equipment as needed, including forklifts, for loading and unloading tasks. Perform basic automotive repairs and maintenance on the truck when required.

Requirements

Valid Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with a clean driving record. Experience in commercial driving, particularly in freight transportation. Proficiency in operating heavy equipment, with forklift experience preferred. Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to perform basic automotive repairs. Excellent communication skills and a customer-focused attitude. Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment. Must be able to pass all required background checks and drug screenings as per company policy.
