Position Description

Safely operate Class 1 type vehicles and heavy equipment out of our Regina, SK Location. Waste hauling and disposal, waste management, to site decommissions.

Position Responsibilities

Experienced Class 1 professional drivers who take their safety, equipment and compliance seriously. Experienced in the operations of tractor trailer walking floor, Gravel truck and quad trucks Experienced in the operation of heavy equipment e.g. Excavator A clean driver's abstract with no suspensions Must be proficient in completing all appropriate Pre/ Post trip inspections. Effective English verbal and written communication skills Ability and willingness to work in diverse working environment with route and task changes Communicate vehicle mechanical problems to supervisor immediately. Operate truck and equipment using prescribed techniques to eliminate driver-induced mechanical failures. Follow safety standards, equipment checks and precautions in performance of all duties. Comply with all national, provincial, local and rules on safety and vehicle operation. Maintain a clean vehicle by cleaning cab interior and exterior of vehicle. Positive attitude Other duties may be assigned

Knowledge, Skills and Competencies

Highschool diploma or general education degree (GED) desired. Possess a valid Class 1 License 3 years of satisfactory driving experience of Class 1 vehicles preferred 3 years of Heavy Equipment operation would be considered an asset. Clean drivers abstract Must be able to pass pre-employment Drug & Alcohol Testing Ability to regularly lift/move up to 75 lbs This will be year-round work in all weather conditions
