We are looking for an energetic and hardworking Class 1 Driver to join our team!

Job Summary

Reporting to the Terminal Manager, the

Class 1 Driver (Owner Operator)

provides daily pick-up and delivery service to/from our Surrey facility and local region. This role requires physical labour, including using a manual pallet jack.

Shift

Monday to Friday; Day shift

Key Responsibilities

Pre-trips equipment daily and reports per company requirements Communicates with dispatch to ensure efficient route planning Communicates with clients on site to ensure delivery services meets or exceeds expectations Delivers loads daily in an efficient and safe manner Conducts daily vehicle inspections and reports any problems Reports road incidents to the Dispatcher Maintains a positive attitude with customers/clients

Qualification Requirements:

Professional attitude when interacting with customers and coworkers Experience owning, operating, and maintaining a commercial vehicle to DOT safety regulations Current Class 1 Driver's license with clean COMMERCIAL driver's abstract Basic geographical knowledge of Surrey and surrounding areas.. Ability to lift freight up to 50 lbs. Available to work full time Monday - Friday

Truck Requirements

Class 1 Tractor. Preference given to trucks 5 years or newer.

Compensation & Benefits:

Owner Operator rate is set at $55.00 per hour. Benefits available through the Teamsters National Benefit Plan.
