Overview

We are seeking a reliable and skilled Truck Driver to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for transporting goods safely and efficiently, ensuring timely deliveries while adhering to all safety regulations. This role requires a strong understanding of commercial driving and the ability to operate heavy equipment. The Truck Driver will also be expected to perform basic automotive repairs and operate forklifts as needed.

Duties

Safely operate a commercial truck to transport freight to designated locations. Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure it is in safe operating condition. Load and unload cargo, utilizing forklifts when necessary. Maintain accurate records of deliveries, including logs of hours worked and vehicle maintenance. Follow all traffic laws and safety regulations while on the road. Communicate effectively with dispatchers and other team members regarding delivery schedules and any issues that arise during transport. Perform basic automotive repairs and maintenance on the truck as needed.

Qualifications

Valid Commercial Driver's License (CDL) is required. 2 year Experience in freight transportation and heavy equipment operation is preferred. Familiarity with forklift operation is a plus. Strong understanding of automotive repair techniques. Excellent time management skills and ability to work independently. Ability to lift heavy loads (up to 50 pounds) and perform physical tasks associated with loading/unloading freight. Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, for effective interaction with team members and clients.
