Professional Class 1 Tractor Trailer Driver

Cinnabar is seeking dedicated individuals to join our team in delivering trailer loads of palletized goods to grocery stores, retail stores and garden centers across Vancouver Island!

Our fleet consists of day cabs, and our trailers range from 36' to 53'. Most of our deliveries are multi-stop drops to grocery stores and nurseries. With 5500lbs tailgates,

proficiency in operating power pallet jacks and tailgates for loading and unloading is essential

.

Position Details:

We require a minimum of 3 years of Class 1 driving experience with a clean driver abstract. This position offers competitive hourly compensation starting at $31.00 per hour, with the opportunity for overtime during peak seasons. Additionally, a comprehensive benefits package becomes available after six months of employment.

Requirements:

- Valid Class 1 license

- Proficiency in operating power tailgates and pallet jacks

- Familiarity with the Victoria area is advantageous

Responsibilities

Operate a Class 1 vehicle safely and efficiently for local deliveries during day shifts. Ensure compliance with all traffic laws and regulations while driving. Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections to maintain vehicle safety and performance. Load and unload freight, utilizing forklift and heavy equipment as necessary. Communicate effectively with dispatch and customers regarding delivery schedules and requirements. Perform basic automotive repairs and maintenance as needed to ensure vehicle reliability.
