We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Truck Driver to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for transporting goods safely and efficiently to various locations. This role requires a strong commitment to safety, excellent driving skills, and the ability to manage freight effectively. The Truck Driver will play a crucial role in ensuring timely deliveries while maintaining the integrity of the cargo.

Responsibilities

Operate trucks to transport goods over long distances, adhering to all traffic laws and safety regulations. Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure it is in safe operating condition. Load and unload freight, ensuring that all cargo is secured properly for transport. Maintain accurate logs of driving hours, routes traveled, and any incidents or delays encountered during trips. Communicate effectively with dispatchers and other team members regarding delivery schedules and any issues that arise during transport. Perform basic maintenance on the truck, including checking fluid levels and tire pressure, as well as reporting any mechanical issues promptly. Operate forklifts or other heavy equipment as needed for loading and unloading freight.

Qualifications

Valid Commercial Driver's License (CDL) is required. Proven experience in commercial driving with a clean driving record. Familiarity with freight handling and logistics processes is preferred. Skills in automotive repair are a plus for performing minor maintenance tasks on the vehicle. Experience operating heavy equipment such as forklifts is advantageous. Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions accurately. Excellent time management skills with the ability to work independently or as part of a team.
