Reporting to the Equipment & Repair Manager, the Class 1 Driver is responsible for safely transporting construction equipment, aggregates, and materials to and from job sites across the Calgary region. This role requires operating a manual 18-speed transmission and a tandem truck with trailer, ensuring loads are delivered safely, on time, and in compliance with all safety and regulatory requirements.

Promote a strong safety culture and adhere to all company and OH&S regulations

Operate a Class 1 truck to haul equipment and materials to various construction sites Secure loads properly to ensure safe transport and compliance with legal weight and tie-down requirements Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections, maintaining accurate driver logs and documentation Apply knowledge of city routes to ensure efficient delivery of materials--no long-haul driving required Support road construction operations with an understanding of site needs and equipment handling Assist with loading/unloading and communicate effectively with dispatch and site personnel Participate in daily hazard assessments and safety meetings

What You Bring



1+ years of experience as a Class 1 Driver in construction, heavy civil, or local equipment hauling Proven ability to operate a manual transmission Valid Class 1 Driver's License with a clean Driver's Abstract (no more than 6 demerits and no major infractions) Experience hauling equipment and understanding road-building operations Physically capable of lifting up to 40 lbs and working in varying weather conditions Willing to travel for short, fixed-term periods, as required
