Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Truck Driver to join our logistics team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for transporting goods safely and efficiently across various routes. This role requires a strong understanding of freight handling, adherence to safety regulations, and excellent driving skills. The Truck Driver will play a crucial role in ensuring timely deliveries while maintaining the integrity of the cargo.

Responsibilities

Operate and drive trucks to transport freight to designated locations. Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure safety and compliance with regulations. Load and unload cargo using forklifts or other equipment as necessary. Maintain accurate records of deliveries, including mileage, fuel consumption, and delivery logs. Communicate effectively with dispatchers and other team members regarding delivery schedules and any issues that arise during transport. Adhere to all traffic laws and regulations while on the road. Perform basic automotive repairs as needed to ensure vehicle reliability. Operate heavy equipment when required for loading or unloading tasks.

Experience

Proven experience in commercial driving is preferred, with a valid commercial driver's license (CDL). Familiarity with freight handling procedures and regulations. Experience operating forklifts or heavy equipment is a plus. Background in automotive repair can be beneficial for troubleshooting vehicle issues on the road. Strong understanding of safety protocols related to transportation and freight handling.

Pay: From $25.00 per hour

Expected hours: No less than 36 per week
