Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled and dependable Class 1 Company Driver to join our transportation team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for safely operating various types of commercial trucks, including tractor-trailers, refrigerated trailers. This role involves delivering freight efficiently across designated routes while ensuring compliance with safety regulations and company policies. The driver will also be responsible for load and unload operations, route driving, and maintaining accurate delivery documentation. Candidates with experience in truck driving, delivery routes, and handling specialized equipment such as forklifts are encouraged to apply.

Responsibilities

Safely operate Class 1 commercial vehicles including tractor-trailers, refrigerated trailers. Load and unload freight efficiently while adhering to safety standards. Drive assigned routes to deliver freight on time across various locations. Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections to ensure vehicle safety and compliance. Maintain accurate logs of driving hours, deliveries, and vehicle maintenance records. Comply with all federal and state transportation regulations and company policies. Assist with securing loads using appropriate equipment such as forklifts when necessary. Communicate effectively with dispatchers and clients regarding delivery schedules or issues. Handle special cargo such as refrigerated goods or hazardous materials if required.

Qualifications

Valid Class 1 commercial driver's license (CDL) with a clean driving record. Experience operating manual transmission trucks preferred. Proven experience with freight delivery including route driving and load & unload procedures. Familiarity with specialized equipment such as forklifts or dump trucks is a plus. Knowledge of safety regulations related to trucking, including handling refrigerated trailers, tankers, flatbeds, and other specialized vehicles. Ability to operate various types of trucks including tractor-trailers, flatbeds, refrigerated trailers, tankers, dump trucks, and roll-off trucks. Strong driving skills with a focus on safety and efficiency in freight transportation. Good physical condition to handle loading/unloading tasks and long hours on the road. Pay: $62,603.98-$111,283.22 per year
