Position Overview:

We are seeking a certified

Class 1 Blaster

to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for safely and efficiently planning, preparing, and executing blasting operations in accordance with industry regulations and company standards.

Key Responsibilities:

Plan and execute blasting operations to meet project requirements. Conduct pre-blast inspections and ensure the area is safe and secure. Load, detonate, and monitor explosives in accordance with safety protocols. Maintain and inspect blasting equipment to ensure it is in proper working condition. Coordinate with site supervisors, drillers, and other team members to achieve project goals. Adhere to federal, provincial, and company safety standards. Maintain accurate records of blasting operations and materials used.

Qualifications:

Valid Class 1 Blasting Certificate (Nova Scotia or transferable). Proven experience in blasting operations within the construction or excavation industry. Strong knowledge of explosives, safety procedures, and regulations. Physical ability to perform demanding tasks in various weather conditions. Excellent communication and teamwork skills. Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
