About the role

We\xe2\x80\x99re looking for a Claims Representative III, Commercial Property to join our growing team!

What you\'ll do here:

• Analyze information gathered, interpret insurance policy wordings, determine coverage, and assess damage
• Develop an action plan to ensure all aspects of the claim are addressed
• Manage all financial components of the claim, including setting reserves and ensuring prompt and equitable settlements in line with Intact\xe2\x80\x99s policies and standards
• Ensure clear and concise information and direction is provided to vendors
• Work with experts including appraisers, engineers and others to help drive progress throughout the claim
• Provide a superior quality of customer service to external and internal customers, and answer queries relating to the claims process
• Keep up to date on Intact\xe2\x80\x99s insurance products, appraisal and investigation techniques, and service

What you bring to the table:

• 2-5 years claims adjusting experience \xe2\x80\x93 commercial handling is an asset
• Xactanalysis experience is a asset
• Basic construction knowledge is a asset
• Adaptable and agile in a rapidly evolving business
• Demonstrates a passion for customer service with strong written and verbal communication skills
• Self-motivated and capable of working in a fast-paced environment
• A forward thinker who is able to foster new ideas
• Superior organizational skills and results-driven
• Demonstrated negotiation and conflict management skills
• Ability to learn and work effectively in a hybrid or remote environment
• Work on files outside of a call centre / queue environment
