We are currently recruiting for a Claims Adjuster to join our team in Burnaby, British Columbia. This is a full-time position and has a hybrid work arrangement. The successful candidate will evaluate claims through telephone investigation and negotiates settlements in accordance with provincial licensing restrictions and requirements, while maintaining adequate production levels and customer relationships. The base salary for this position is between $72,000 - $100,000 annually (salary is open for negotiation and based on skills and experience).
Investigation, collection, and analysis of claims information
Accurate recording, reporting and file maintenance
Examines policies and claims settlement within Provincial licensing regulations
Employment and professional expectations
Work with manager to maintain client relations
2 - 5 years functional/technical experience in an insurance environment
Knowledge of commercial and personal lines will be considered an asset
Post-secondary education in an insurance related field working towards full independent adjusting license and CIP designation
Ability to conduct telephone investigations, evaluate, negotiate and settle first and third party commercial lines claims
Proficient in maintaining accurate and detailed activity, transaction and reserve records
Excellent communication skills
Must be a team player with a strong commitment to quality and customer service
Commitment to continuous learning
Reliable transportation required
Valid driver's license is required
