Position Overview:



We are seeking an experienced Civil Engineering Technician - Designer to join a dynamic team working on urban infrastructure projects, including roadways, water and sewer systems, and municipal or industrial developments.

Reporting to a project engineer, the technician will be responsible for technical design, 3D modeling, preparation of plans and specifications, and technical follow-up throughout the project lifecycle.



Key Responsibilities:



Prepare civil engineering design drawings (municipal infrastructure, roads, drainage, underground networks, etc.) using specialized software (AutoCAD Civil 3D, etc.) Produce technical drawings in compliance with applicable standards and regulations Assist in quantity take-offs and preparation of technical specifications Collaborate with engineers, site supervisors, and other team members Coordinate plans with other disciplines (e.g., structural, electromechanical) Help update technical documents and compliance records Occasionally conduct site visits for surveys or field verifications

Requirements:



College diploma (DEC) in Civil Engineering Technology or Architectural Technology 3 to 7 years of relevant experience in a similar role Strong proficiency in AutoCAD Civil 3D (mandatory) Good knowledge of applicable civil infrastructure codes and standards in Quebec Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and a high level of accuracy Good communication skills in French (spoken and written)

Assets:



Experience with other design software (e.g., Revit, MicroStation) Experience with municipal projects or working with cities in the Greater Montreal Area
