Lyons is looking for a key player to join our team, who leads from the front, sets the standard, and delivers quality civil work, keeping crews, subtrades, and schedules dialed in.

What You'll Be Doing:

Lead civil crews on site (earthworks, excavation, grading, base prep, drainage, underground utilities). Run daily site operations: scheduling, sequencing, logistics, and production targets. Coordinate with Project Managers on manpower, equipment, and materials. Ensure work is safe, on-spec, on time, and meets Lyons quality standards. Read plans/grades/layouts and direct crews accordingly. Manage safety (hazard assessments, compliance) and coordinate subtrades, inspections, and deliveries. Track progress (labour/materials/equipment) and communicate updates/issues early. Maintain strong client relationships and represent Lyons professionally.

What You Bring:

Proven, hands-on leader who can coach crews and hold high standards. Strong civil background: municipal underground, excavation, grading, base prep, drainage, retaining walls/earthworks. Strong safety mindset with consistent enforcement. Ability to read plans, manage layout, and plan ahead to avoid delays/rework. Clear communicator and problem-solver with crews, PMs, clients, and subs. Organized and calm under pressure; tech-comfortable with daily logs/photos (LMN is a bonus). Valid driver's licence with a clean record.

Experience & Requirements:

1-5 years Superintendent experience

or

5+ years Foreman/General Foreman experience. Experience with municipal underground utility installations. Familiar with

MMCD

and

CCDC

contract environments.
*wages posted are based off number of years of experience within the industry hands on in a Superintendent role. Wages also include total compensation package which may include a company vehicle, cell phone allowance, and fuel reimbursements.

Pay: $85,000.00-$110,000.00 per year
