Job Description

Con-Tech General Contractors is a leader in commercial, civil, and infrastructure construction across Western Canada. Our team is growing, and we are looking for a driven Civil Project Manager/Estimator to join our organization and support upcoming projects.

The Civil Project Manager/Estimator will be responsible for managing civil construction projects from initial estimate to project completion. This role combines hands-on project leadership with accurate estimating, cost control, scheduling, and client communication. The ideal candidate has strong civil construction experience, excellent organizational skills, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities

Estimating

Prepare detailed and accurate cost estimates for all civil scopes on commercial, and infrastructure projects. Analyze drawings, specifications, and tender documents. Prepare quantity takeoffs, labor/equipment costing, and complete civil pricing. Obtain and evaluate supplier and subcontractor quotes. Assist in preparing bid proposals and tender submissions.

Project Management

Plan, organize, and manage projects from start to finish. Develop and maintain project schedules, budgets, and work plans. Coordinate subcontractors, suppliers, equipment, and site teams. Ensure compliance with safety standards, quality control, and environmental regulations. Work alongside field staff to ensure team-based project delivery. Conduct site visits, progress meetings, and provide regular reporting. Manage change orders, RFIs, and project documentation. Maintain strong relationships with clients, inspectors, and project stakeholders.

Qualifications

3-7+ years of experience in civil construction project management and/or estimating. Background in earthworks and utilities is required. Additional background in concrete, foundations, or commercial site development is preferred. Diploma or degree in Civil Engineering Technology, Construction Management, or equivalent experience. Strong understanding of construction drawings, specifications, and standards. Proficiency in estimating. Excellent communication, negotiation, and leadership skills. Valid driver's license and ability to travel to project sites.
