Bursey Excavation and Development Limited is seeking an experienced
Civil Project Manager
to oversee all aspects of civil construction projects from pre-construction through completion. This role is responsible for project planning, coordination, budgeting, scheduling, and stakeholder management. The successful candidate will demonstrate strong leadership, organizational skills, and technical expertise in civil construction project delivery.
The Project Construction Manager is responsible for maintaining and enforcing an accurate and achievable project schedule throughout all phases of construction. This includes planning daily and weekly work activities, coordinating subcontractors and suppliers, and proactively addressing delays to ensure project milestones and completion dates are met.
Strong organizational and time management skills are essential for this role. The Manager/Supervisor must effectively prioritize tasks, allocate resources efficiently, and maintain clear documentation related to scheduling, costs, and productivity. By maintaining accurate records and regularly reviewing budget performance, they ensure alignment between project scope, schedule, and financial objectives.
Key Responsibilities
Manage all phases of civil construction projects, including planning, execution, and close-out
Develop and manage project schedules, budgets, and work plans
Prepare and review detailed quantity take-offs
Coordinate subcontractor procurement, quotations, and contract compliance
Oversee material procurement and supplier coordination
Review and interpret contractual terms and conditions
Manage change orders, assess impacts, and identify potential risks
Ensure compliance with safety, quality, and regulatory requirements
Provide clear communication and reporting to internal teams and clients
Foster strong teamwork and collaboration across project stakeholders
Qualifications & Requirements
Minimum 5 years of experience managing civil construction projects
Strong understanding of estimating, scheduling, subcontract coordination, and material procurement
Excellent organizational and time-management skills with the ability to manage multiple projects concurrently
Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
Exceptional communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills
Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team environment
