Job Description

Our Client will require individuals to join its engineering and project management team to support the execution of projects throughout Newfoundland and Labrador.

Assignment Description

\xef\x82\xb7 Provide technical support to the Project Manager on various projects;

\xef\x82\xb7 Review tender packages prepared by other consultants and contractors;

\xef\x82\xb7 Review shop drawings prepared by contractors and vendors;

\xef\x82\xb7 Prepare tender packages for contracts;

\xef\x82\xb7 Prepare requests for proposals (RFPs);

\xef\x82\xb7 Provide technical input as a design team member for projects and other technical

documentation;

\xef\x82\xb7 Direct and supervise consultants and contractors during the completion of specific

engagements;

\xef\x82\xb7 Review and approve reports prepared by consultants;

\xef\x82\xb7 Attend Factory Acceptance Tests (FAT) as required; and

\xef\x82\xb7 Travel to various sites regularly to provide technical input and field support.

Qualifications Required

\xef\x82\xb7 Engineering Degree;

\xef\x82\xb7 EIT or up to 5 years of experience in construction projects;

\xef\x82\xb7 Experience in building architectural and/or civil design and construction;

\xef\x82\xb7 Excellent computer skills including a working knowledge of Microsoft Office;

\xef\x82\xb7 Ability to work in a dynamic work environment; and

\xef\x82\xb7 A valid driver\xe2\x80\x99s license will be required as there will be some travel involved.

Duration

1 year with potential of extension

40 hrs/wk while in St. John\'s but could be additional while in field
