Job Description

We are looking for experienced civil works/excavation foreman to join our team.

The foreman's duties are:

Supervising and coordinating daily activities of field crews. Fill daily logs, keep track of crew hours, trucks, progress, etc. Coordinate with superintendents and/or project management and ensure all resources (people, materials, and equipment) are in place each day. Operating heavy equipment such as excavators and loaders. Ensure adherence to safety protocols and project specifications Monitor and report project progress, identifying and addressing any issues that may arise Maintain a positive and productive work environment Conduct routine equipment inspections and maintenance
Qualifications, Experience & Skillset

5 years of experience as lead hand or foreman, and a solid understanding of all aspects of Civil works and Earthworks Extensive knowledge of water and sewer main installation Extensive knowledge of shoring installation Ability to read and interpret blueprints Strong leadership and communication skills In-depth knowledge of construction procedures, equipment and safety regulations Proficient in the operation of various excavation equipment Must possess a valid Class 5 Drivers License and be able to travel to sites across the region. First aid, confined space, and fall protection training is an asset. Flexibility with hours worked, including overtime and weekend work as needed.
Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $40.00-$50.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
