This is a mission-critical role supporting infrastructure projects across sewer, watermain, road building, bulk excavation, and shoreline protection. If you're a detail-driven estimator who thrives in fast-paced environments and knows how to turn drawings into dollars, this one's for you.
What You'll Be Estimating

  • Sewer and watermain systems (sanitary, storm, potable)
  • Road construction and site preparation
  • Bulk excavation and grading
  • Shoreline protection and dredging
  • Green energy and municipal infrastructure projects
What You'll Do
  • Prepare detailed cost estimates, quantity takeoffs, and bid packages
  • Analyze tender documents, drawings, and specifications
  • Source and negotiate pricing with subcontractors and suppliers
  • Collaborate with project managers and field teams to ensure scope alignment
  • Track historical data and maintain cost databases
  • Support bid strategy and submission timelines for projects ranging from $50K to $15M

  • 3+ years of estimating experience in heavy civil construction
  • Strong understanding of excavation, underground utilities, and roadwork
  • Proficiency in estimating software (e.g., HCSS, Bid2Win, or similar)
  • Ability to read and interpret civil drawings and specs
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills
  • Experience working with municipalities and private developers is a plus
