Job Description


We are currently seeking a Civil Engineer-in-Training on the Municipal Infrastructure team in our Calgary office. The Municipal Infrastructure team provides engineering services for complex projects related to water, sanitary and stormwater infrastructure with an emphasis on underground installations. Our clients include municipalities, provincial government, telecommunications and private utility owners. This position will present many opportunities on a variety of tasks and our expectation will be for the candidate to develop proficient skills in all areas of project delivery, including preparing studies, designs, cost estimates, specifications, contract documents, construction management, and construction inspection.

As you develop your engineering skills, you will have the opportunity to develop a career path based on technical leadership, project management, client management, or a combination based on your career aspirations and qualifications.

Job Requirements

What you will bring:

  • Undergraduate degree in Civil Engineering from an accredited post-secondary institution.
  • Registered, or eligible for registration as an Engineer-In-Training with APEGA.
  • Valid driver\'s license.
  • Ability to travel within Alberta.
  • Contribute to a caring culture for both clients and teammates.
  • The ability to take initiative and demonstrate problem solving skills to develop and enhance your learning.
  • Excellent listening, verbal and technical writing skills.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills.
  • Committed team player and the ability to work independently.
