Parsons is seeking a candidate with a desire to enhance the fabric of our community.Parsons has a position open for a Civil Engineering Technologist to prepare municipal servicing, grading and drainage design, engineering layouts and design drawings utilizing theoretical and practical design knowledge. This position can be located in our Ottawa or Montreal office (and/or remotely anywhere in Ontario or Quebec). Experience with Civil 3D and/or MicroStation is essential. Experience with other AutoDesk and Bentley products (OpenRoads Designer, ProjectWise) will be considered an asset.Responsibilities:

• Interprets and ensures conformance to applicable standards and codes, as well as company policies and procedures.
• Understands and utilizes more advanced software to complete assignments.
• Produce conceptual and detailed drawings of diverse municipal infrastructure and demonstrate basic experience in the following areas: municipal roads, underground linear infrastructure included water facilities, sanitary sewers, storm/water drainage systems, grading and drainage, culverts, new land/site developments and upgrading of existing facilities.
• Works closely with Engineers and other disciplines to ensure coordinated design systems.
• Ensures compliance with required design safety factors, tolerances, and specifications.
• Reviews supplier data and supplier/manufacturer drawings, as required.
• Checks orthographic (2D) and/or isometric (3D) drawings prepared by others.
• Performs checking procedures as appropriate to the discipline and assigned by immediate supervisor.
• Performs design and quantity calculations.
• Be able to use Microsoft Office Suite and Bluebeam Revu 2019.
• Utilizes AutoCAD, Civil 3D, MicroStation or OpenRoads to perform various design work.
• Participates in discussions with technical and engineering personnel, reviewing development issues reported to assist in resolving issues.
• Performs other responsibilities associated with this position as may be appropriate.

Qualifications:

• Associate's Degree in Engineering Technology or related field (or equivalent related training/certification if applicable) and typically 2+ years experience.
• Bilingual English/French is not required but is preferred.

Relevant du gestionnaire de notre d\xc3\xa9partement de conception dinfrastructures municipales, le candidat recherch\xc3\xa9 offrira le soutien technique aux ing\xc3\xa9nieurs dans le cadre de projets de complexit\xc3\xa9s vari\xc3\xa9s et pourra mettre en pratique diverses proc\xc3\xa9dures dexploitation normalis\xc3\xa9es et/ou des m\xc3\xa9thodes ding\xc3\xa9nierie.Responsabilit\xc3\xa9s :

• Interpr\xc3\xa9ter et assurer la conformit\xc3\xa9 aux normes et codes applicables, ainsi quaux politiques et proc\xc3\xa9dures de lentreprise.
• Comprendre et utiliser des logiciels pour la production des livrables.
• Produire des concepts et des dessins d\xc3\xa9taill\xc3\xa9s de diverses infrastructures municipales et d\xc3\xa9montrer une exp\xc3\xa9rience de base dans les domaines suivants : routes municipales, infrastructures souterraines comprenant l installations daqueduc, d\xc3\xa9gouts sanitaires, de syst\xc3\xa8mes de drainage des eaux pluviales et des eaux us\xc3\xa9es, nivellement et drainage, ponceaux, conception de nouvelles installations et modernisation dinstallations existantes.
• Travailler en \xc3\xa9troite collaboration avec les ing\xc3\xa9nieurs de diverses disciplines pour assurer la coordination des syst\xc3\xa8mes de conception.
• Assurer la conformit\xc3\xa9 aux facteurs de s\xc3\xa9curit\xc3\xa9 de conception, aux tol\xc3\xa9rances et aux sp\xc3\xa9cifications requises.
• Examiner les donn\xc3\xa9es des fournisseurs ainsi leurs dessins au besoin.
• V\xc3\xa9rifier les dessins orthographiques (2D) et/ou isom\xc3\xa9triques (3D) pr\xc3\xa9par\xc3\xa9s par dautres.
• Effectuer des proc\xc3\xa9dures de v\xc3\xa9rification appropri\xc3\xa9es \xc3\xa0 la discipline et assign\xc3\xa9es par le superviseur imm\xc3\xa9diat.
• Effectuer des calculs de conception et de quantit\xc3\xa9.
• \xc3\x8atre en mesure dutiliser Microsoft Office Suite et Bluebeam Revu 2019.
• Utiliser AutoCAD, Civil 3D, MicroStation ou OpenRoads pour effectuer divers travaux de conception.
• Participer \xc3\xa0 des discussions avec le personnel technique et ding\xc3\xa9nierie, en examinant les probl\xc3\xa8mes de d\xc3\xa9veloppement signal\xc3\xa9s pour aider \xc3\xa0 r\xc3\xa9soudre les probl\xc3\xa8mes.

Qualifications :

• Dipl\xc3\xb4me d\xc3\x89tudes coll\xc3\xa9giales en technologie du g\xc3\xa9nie civil ou dans un domaine connexe ou formation / certification \xc3\xa9quivalente et plus de 2 ans dexp\xc3\xa9rience.
