Read blueprints to determine dimensions of structure or system and material requirements Prepare construction specifications, costs and material estimates Prepare engineering designs and drawings Prepare project schedules Supervise or conduct field surveys, inspections, technical investigations and testing of construction materials Produce project designs Supervise, monitor and inspect mechanical installations and construction projects Work in a multidisciplinary environment Collaborate with architects or other professionals in multidisciplinary urban design studies
