Most of the things you\'ll work on:

  • Develop and prepare preliminary and final approval engineering drawings for various commercial, industrial, and residential site developments. Typical projects include (but are not limited to) grading and servicing plans, stormwater management plans, road profiles, cross sections, and detail drawings;
  • Provide design assistance to engineering staff as it relates to site plan and municipal projects utilizing Civil 3D;
  • Check and verify design drawings to conform to specifications and design data
  • Provide design assistance to engineering staff for preparation of Functional Servicing and Stormwater Management Reports;
  • Taking field drawings and notes and preparing as-recorded drawings to be submitted to the municipalities;
  • Attend and participate in project team meetings and coordinate with team members to ensure efficient and timely delivery of project deliverables; and
  • Other related duties, as assigned
Qualifications

You\'ll need to have:
  • Minimum 5 years\' experience in land development design
  • Excellent Civil 3D (2016 - 2021), AutoCAD, MS Office skills
  • Experience working on Land Development projects with direct knowledge working with site plans, infield developments, grading, site services, etc.
  • Diploma/Degree in Civil Engineering or Civil Technology - it would be an asset if registered with OACETT or PEO
  • Experience working with excavation and embankment calculations, cut and fill figures, storm water and sanitation design sheets, etc.
  • Self-managing and motivated to continue to learn and adapt to new technology
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to set priorities but still flexible to work within a project driven environment
  • Excellent communication skills (verbal and written) for interaction and correspondence with design team and stakeholders
  • Strong team skills who enjoy working the internal and external Teams
