ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES



Discuss project requirements with the client while delivering value engineering Analyze survey, mapping, and materials-testing data to complete work assignments using computer modelling software Create and review drawings using CAD tools. Assess the environmental impact and risk connected to projects Bid proposal support Manage multiple projects Comply with guidelines and regulations including permits, health and safety, and deliver technical files and other technical documentation as required. Deliver civil engineering designs and optimization in accordance with applicable codes, standards, and industry practices Day-to-day management of assigned projects Plan, define project tasks, schedule, and deliver on-time execution of civil scope of work and project deliverablesWorkclosely with RRC Director of Civil Engineering, Civil Engineering Managers and Project Managers in the successful execution of work Be responsive to the needs of the client and project requirements Up to 20% travel is expected and can include overnight stays for several days Jobsite visits require ability to traverse uneven or rough terrain, including bending, stooping, twisting, and climbing Sitting is involved for most of the day while in the office, but a raised desk workstation is available Minimal lifting requirement of 20 pounds or less on an infrequent basis

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS (KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES)



Minimum 5-7 years of civil engineering consulting and design experience. Bachelor of Science degree in Civil Engineering. Hold Professional Engineering (P.Eng) license in Canada or ability to obtain one within 3 months of hire. Experience in permitting support, engineering, and construction. Proven experience in civil engineering for renewable energy projects (wind, solar, BESS, etc.). Ability to work within a matrix organization. Strong written and verbal communication and presentation skills with emphasis on client service. Self-starter with independent judgment. Multi-tasking capabilities and able to change focus quickly. Possess valid Canadian Driver's License. Ability to work onsite from our Calgary, Alberta or Toronto, Ontario office. Additional duties as required. Knowledge of informatics: + Microsoft Office Suite.
+ Microsoft Project.
+ Proficiency in AutoCAD Civil 3D.
+ HEC-HMS, HEC-RAS 2D, FLO2D or similar.
+ PVCase or similar.

General knowledge of BIM processes and applications
