As we continue to grow, we are seeking a skilled Civil & Electrical Estimator to join our team and play a crucial role in preparing competitive and accurate project estimates.

As a Civil & Electrical Estimator , you will be responsible for reviewing project specifications, analyzing costs, and preparing estimates for a variety of civil and electrical construction projects. You will collaborate with project managers, engineers, and subcontractors to ensure competitive and profitable bids.

Key Responsibilities:

• Review and interpret project plans, specifications, and technical documents for civil and electrical work
• Perform quantity take-offs and cost estimates for labour, materials, and equipment
• Obtain and evaluate pricing from suppliers and subcontractors
• Prepare detailed bid proposals and ensure compliance with project requirements
• Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and field teams to develop accurate and competitive estimates
• Identify cost-saving opportunities and value engineering solutions
• Stay updated on industry trends, material pricing, and labour costs in the Ottawa market
• Maintain records of estimates, bids, and project costs for future reference

Qualifications:

• Minimum of 5 years of experience in estimating civil and electrical projects with emphasis on electrical
• Strong knowledge of electrical and civil construction methods, materials, and industry standards
• Proficiency in Accubid estimating software is a plus
• Ability to read and interpret construction drawings, blueprints, and specifications
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and attention-to-detail skills
• Strong communication and negotiation skills
• Experience with municipal, commercial, and industrial projects in Ontario (preferred)

Pay: $70,000.00-$110,000.00 per year
