What you would engage in:



Our focus is on the application of critical thinking to the management of mine waste and water. If you continue your career journey with us, you would be part of our Mining Environmental Group, based out our Vancouver office. The role of Civil Designer comes with the flexibility to work a hybrid schedule and will provide you with the opportunity to:



Analyze, review and interpret topographic survey data Develop 2D and 3D models for new and existing mine waste projects Be involved in all aspects of multi-disciplinary design, analysis, and drafting of large civil earth works projects Produce drawings, layouts, sketches, maps and graphic representations of engineering designs Transform concepts and sketches into engineering designs primarily using AutoCAD and Civil 3D Collaborate with team members to ensure schedules, budgets, and quality control measures are achieved. Expand your knowledge by attending trainings and conferences

What we require:



We respect the knowledge and experience you have gained to date and are willing to help you build on it. We do however require the following qualifications:



A diploma in civil technology or degree in civil engineering Proficiency in 2D drafting and 3D design using AutoCAD and Civil 3D Exposure to, or ability to work with, other geospatial software (ArcGIS, Global Mapper, ReCap, OpenGround, Muk3D) Five or more years of experience with the design of large civil earthworks projects An ability to build relationships with multidisciplinary project-based teams

In addition to the must have requirements you will excel in the role if you have a willingness to learn and a curiosity mindset



The salary for this position is $75,000 to $100,000 per year. Salary is based on applicable experience, education, and skill level.
