Binnie is looking for a Civil Design Engineer to join our Development & Infrastructure Division, which provides professional civil engineering services for local municipalities and private developers alike. Typical projects include road and utility improvements and replacements, stormwater management, erosion and sediment control and major residential, commercial, and industrial developments. This position is full-time and can be based either in our Langley or Burnaby office.



You will work with our supportive team of Engineers, Technologists, and Project Managers. You will carry out design work on projects from conceptual level through to detailed design and construction. This challenging role offers great mentorship opportunities.



YOUR ROLE:



Preparing design drawings using AutoCAD or Civil3D Performing design work in consultation with the Engineer of Record Preparing reports, manuals, and technical memorandums Preparing proposals and engineering fee estimates Ensuring quality control procedures are completed as per Binnie's Organizational Quality Management (OQM) Policy Ensuring that project designs and calculations adhere to legal standards

WHAT YOU BRING:



2-3+ years of design experience in a civil consulting engineering environment Sound working knowledge of AutoCAD and Civil 3D Completed Degree in Civil Engineering and registration as an EIT with EGBC Valid Driver's License and personal vehicle preferred Strong written communication skills including technical report writing Excellent time management skills and ability to manage multiple ongoing projects Ability to communicate effectively with colleagues, clients, other consultants and contractors Ability to work cooperatively and productively in a team environment Demonstrated professional judgment, attention to detail and ability to consistently maintain a high degree of accuracy and quality in work produced
