The Civil Construction Laboure
r is responsible for cleaning and preparing construction sites for the erection of structures and towers. Unloads and loads materials, read plans and specifications, tends machines, mixes concrete, pours concrete, and assists carpenters, operating engineers, and other construction site workers.
Core Functions
Performing all general ground duties associated with tower construction, rigging, road building, rebar installation, form setting, pour/vibrate/finish concrete, backfill, and compact foundation, install electrical grounding systems, conduit and trenching, industrial fence installation, restoration, and cleanup
Work with a variety of hand tools, power tools, and equipment used in construction.
Able to travel within the province for extended periods
Photo documentation of the site as it develops
Maintain and care for all issued tools, equipment, and vehicles in an operational condition at all times comply with CVOR regulations and requirements
The above responsibilities represent the major tasks of this position; they are not intended to be an exhaustive list. Therefore, performing other related tasks may be required on occasion.
Required
Candidates are preferred to have experience in the construction sector, including some experience in formwork, rebar installation, concrete pouring & finishing, as well as general carpenter duties.
Adherence to safety standards, working knowledge of all safety & quality control requirements, fall protection practices, regulations, and procedures for crew
Must be in good physical condition with the ability to bend and lift 50 lbs.
Must be available to travel up to one week or more as needed
Communicate and interact effectively with crew members
Reliability is key to the establishment and must be followed in all procedural steps of the company.
Motivated to learn and grow in the telecommunications industry
Recommended
2+ years of industry experience
Able to read drawings

Comfortable working at heights
Valid A-Restricted, DZ or AZ driver's license
Operation of excavating equipment
