Job Description

The Civil Construction Estimator will play a crucial role in preparing detailed cost estimates for construction projects, ensuring accuracy and efficiency. This position is ideal for individuals with a strong understanding of construction practices and a keen eye for detail.

• Prepare detailed and accurate cost estimates for civil construction projects.
• Collaborate with project managers and engineers to review project specifications and requirements.
• Analyse project drawings and identify materials, labour, and equipment needed.
• Develop and maintain relationships with suppliers and subcontractors to obtain competitive pricing.
• Conduct risk assessments and account for potential project challenges in estimates.
• Monitor and update cost estimates throughout the project lifecycle as required.
• Provide support during bid preparation and tender submissions.
• Maintain accurate records of estimates, proposals, and project documentation.

A successful Civil Construction Estimator should have:

• 3-5+ years of estimating experience in civil construction
• Strong command of Bid2Win software (required)
• Familiarity with siteworks, earthworks, utilities, and municipal infrastructure
• Ability to interpret drawings, scope documents, and tender requirements with accuracy
• Collaborative mindset and strong communication skills
