Our organization is looking for an seasoned & experienced City Dispatcher to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing and coordinating the daily operations of the dispatch team, including assigning tasks to the dock, monitoring performance of drivers, and continuously looking for ways to improve & streamline the operation. The Dispatcher will also be responsible for monitoring the movement of linehauls in order to deliver customer tendered freight on time, and provide updates to clients when requested. The ideal candidate will have excellent organizational skills, strong communication abilities, and a commitment to core customer service.

Responsibilities:

Manage and coordinate the daily operations of Calgary pick ups & deliveries. Coordinate/communicate with dock operations to ensure plans are executed flawlessly. Secure delivery appointments & consolidate deliveries based on required due dates advised by customers. Monitor inbound linehauls in order to properly plan & adjust appointments for deliveries. Pre-plan next day delivery & pick up schedules for driver's in a timely manner for dock operations to have time to pre-load. Document & resolve OS&D issues. Develop and maintain effective communication with customers, drivers, and other personnel. Track and monitor vehicle/driver locations to ensure optimal use of time & equipment. Maintain records of driver activities, such as trips, fuel usage, and maintenance issues. Handle customer complaints and inquiries in a professional manner. Use critical thinking, & suggest new and improved ways to keep our operation running efficiently & as streamlined as possible.

Pay: From $55,000.00 per year
