For more information, visit .THE OPPORTUNITYThis role is for the Winter 2025 term.In this position, you will be coached, and taught skills that are applicable to the task of circuit extraction and analysis. These skills are a vital piece of the unique circuit reverse engineering work that is executed at TechInsights on some of the most innovative and exciting semiconductor technologies today. Some of the talents you will be surrounded with include experts in a variety of circuit design fields such as RF, Analog, Digital, Memory and more. Starting from high precision images and layout information, you will use your knowledge along with powerful assisting software tools to recognize active elements of the circuit and reconstruct the function into a representative circuit schematic. The approach starts at the lowest level of transistors and builds up to higher levels of abstraction to provide a complete and useful view of the innovation found inside the chip.WHAT YOU WILL DO

• Perform circuit and functional analysis of devices and systems.

• Using in-house tools, map active and passive devices to image elements, construct the schematic structure representing the circuit and organize these schematics in a meaningful hierarchy and visual representation that pulls out the relevant information for the reader of the report.
• Provide circuit analysis for subscriptions.

• With the support of a mentor, perform detailed digital cell schematic and layout extraction, using global cell library based statistical analysis showing key aspects of technology innovation. These key aspects include percentage of utilization, routing efficiency, key measurements, cell type distribution, gate density and others.
• Prepare CV Reports

• Complete generation of CV reports, finalize the layout section to meet standard CV quality and content and work with publishing to complete creation of final CV reports.

WHO YOU ARE

• Currently enrolled in a Bachelor of Electrical engineering or related fields.
• Previous experience in circuit design considered an asset.
• Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work in a team environment and on self-directed projects.
• Ability to work in a fast paced environment on high priority projects.
