DescriptionThe Faculty of Medicine & Dentistry at the University of Alberta is pleased to invite applications for a tenure-track position in the area of 'Artificial Intelligence (AI) in Imaging. Applications from all areas of AI and Machine Learning (ML) with a focus on applications of AI in image processing and analysis. The successful candidate will initiate, lead, and collaborate in research activities, compete for external research funding, contribute to the Department's undergraduate and graduate programs, including teaching and assisting with administration.The candidate selected will be appointed as a faculty member at the Assistant or Associate Professor level.The University of Alberta is one of Canada's top teaching and research universities, with an international reputation for excellence across the health sciences, humanities, sciences, creative arts, business and engineering. This position is part of a University of Alberta cluster hire in the intersection of Machine Learning and other areas, including areas of research strength that include Health, Energy, and Indigenous Initiatives in health and humanities, among others.
